It was quite a year in horror cinema, which became extremely apparent when I tried to whittle down my top ten list of 2025. Even in the act of doing so, I am aware of the arbitrary nature of such lists, the subjectivity of taste and our different value systems inevitably shaping the contours of a group of films that tickled my fancy in one way or another which would confound other people.
